Passage Clock Guide

For watchstanders, rehab teams, and focus rooms that need to see “how long we’ve been at this” without poking at a stopwatch.

The scenario

During a night watch, therapy block, or marathon work sprint, you care less about the exact minute and more about “how far into this run are we?” Standard clocks hide that story and alarms wake the room. Passage Clock keeps UTC, home, destination, ship time, and a constantly running elapsed counter on one board so everyone can pace themselves without touching a device.

Why a normal clock or timer isn’t enough

Practical tips

  1. Set UTC, home, and destination before you leave the dock so you’re not editing in a storm.
  2. Only enable Ship time if you truly adjust clocks; otherwise leave UTC as the anchor to avoid drift.
  3. Mount the display where the whole crew can see it—nav table, ops wall, rehearsal pianist stand.
  4. Export/import when swapping tablets so the elapsed log and city presets travel with you.
  5. Pair with alarms or the Interval Timer when you need explicit changeovers.
