What this tool does
Runs repeatable work/rest or shift timers with optional countdowns, audible cues, and auto session limits so you can focus on the drill instead of the stopwatch.
It is built for noisy arenas and quiet desks alike: sports mode boosts cues for rinks, while Pomodoro fans can keep the UI minimal.
How it works
- Set the interval length (seconds or minutes) plus an optional pre-start countdown.
- Decide whether the session stops automatically after a set number of minutes or runs until you tap Stop.
- Toggle Sports mode if you need louder cues; otherwise pick from the regular sound palette.
- Start the timer to collapse controls and show a clear "Now / Next" panel.
- Pause, resume, or reset without losing your saved configuration-the browser stores it locally.
Common use cases
- Hockey shift rotations on the bench.
- HIIT or circuit workouts with alternating work/rest periods.
- Pomodoro focus sprints for writing or coding.
- Physical therapy or rehab sets that require consistent pacing.
- Classroom activities that need predictable timers.
- Referees timing stoppages during practice games.
FAQ
Why don't I hear sounds right away?
Browsers block audio until you interact, so tap Start or any Test button once to unlock sound playback.
Does it keep running if my screen locks?
Mobile browsers pause JavaScript when the screen sleeps, so keep the device awake (the app shows a reminder banner).
Can I save multiple presets?
Not yet. Today the app remembers only the last configuration on the device you used.
What's the difference between Setup and Run modes?
Setup exposes every control. Run mode locks them away so you can't accidentally change timings mid-session.
Will it work offline?
The timer runs entirely in your browser once loaded, so plane mode is fine; just load the page before disconnecting.
How accurate are the cues?
They rely on the browser's timer APIs, which are precise enough for workouts but not for medical dosing or officiated events.
